Why God Used Mary For Our Salvation

May 22, 2025

While we've got a big holiday right around corner in the States (i.e. Memorial Day) and people are making all kinds of weekend party plans, don't forget that we're still smack-dab in the month of May...the Month of Mary.

In fact, when we gather as families this weekend (or any other time), we should remember that the reason we do so is because there's a real sense in which God is family, said Pope St. John Paul II.

The whole reason Jesus became one of us was to create a bridge to get us back into that family - the family of God.

And to help us become true children, he gave us an incredible gift...Mother Mary...whose job is just that, to mother us back into the arms of the Father.

In fact, he made her an integral part of the plan for our salvation.

Of course, before I became Catholic, I certainly didn't see it that way.

I viewed Our Lady as unnecessary and therefore irrelevant.

I was wrong.

And in today's Sainthood Snippet, (taken from the Science of Sainthood course Our Lady in the Life of Grace), I present a simple but powerful argument to explain why God gave Mary her role in salvation - and how we all have a role to play, as well.

God bless!
