As Catholics we talk a lot about getting to heaven - and rightly so!
But perhaps a lot of us don't realize that heaven is way more than some cool place we go after we die...way more!
It's a participation in the divine life of God (2 Peter 1:4).
Pretty amazing, huh?
And we have some fancy words in Catholic teaching that describe this incredible participation. We call it divinization, deification, or theosis.
And while divinization is a core Church teaching, it can be a bit confusing.
Of course, a good deal of that confusion comes from the prevalence of Eastern spirituality in modern culture.
And clearing up some of that confusion while explaining the incredible offer God puts on the table is the topic of today's Sainthood Snippet.
