The Healing Power of Surrendering Your Memories To God

Oct 01, 2025

We all have wounds.

Some are self-inflicted, caused by bad decisions we've made over the years.

Others were inflicted upon us by people in our lives.

Regardless of how they occurred, hurtful memories and painful experiences often deeply (and negatively) influence our present.

But that can change.

God wants nothing more than to draw close to us and heal those wounds.

Too often, however, we don't know how to let him in.

After all, surrendering to God is hard.

It's difficult enough to give over the present moment to the Lord, much less the past.

But in order to let him heal us fully, we have to do exactly that - surrender our past to him.

What does that even mean?

Today's Sainthood Snippet outlines exactly how to take those first painful, but vital steps towards healing.

God bless,

Matthew
